This guide focuses primarily on DPS output. Rangers can make use of a lot of different stats and focus items. We will do our best to cover the most important ones, but if there is a particular stat or focus item you feel does not meet your needs, feel free to replace it with another item that does.

Your main goal when deciding BiS is to reach all of the goals below. You can likely swap some items around and still meet these goals. This is simply a guide that you can follow if you wish for something you can refer to for easy character building. This particular set of gear was designed to go together. If you don’t have every item listed then it might not be *your* BiS until you have all of the items.

– Ferocity III: (+Double Attack % Chance): Earring of Incessant Conflict – Ear
– Cleave III: (+Critical Hit % Chance): Gem-Studded Band of Struggle – Ring
– Improved Dodge III: Vambraces of Eternal Twilight – Arms
– Sharpshooting III: Shroud of Ceaseless Might – Shoulders
– Healing Mod 45% (40% in this build): Rough-Edged Pearl Shard – Augment
– Increased Spell Range 25%: Tunat’Muram’s Bloodied Greaves – Legs (Benefical only, no Detrimental range in this build)
– 250 Worn Attack
– Mana Preservation 20%: Soothing Earstone of Striated Clay – Ear
– Spell Haste 23%: Assistant Researcher’s Symbol/Bracer of the Inferno – Neck/Bracer
– Fire DD Mod 45% (40% in this build): Experimental Smoldering Stone – Augment
– Cold DD Mod 45% (40% in this build): Runed Gauntlets of the Void – Hands
– Increased DoT duration 25%: Wristguard of Chaotic Essence – Wrist
– Increased Magic DoT damage 45%: Woven Chain Boots of Strife – Feet
– Faerune: Wristguard of Chaotic Essence – Wrist
– 45% Haste: Shroud of the Legion  – Back

Heroic Stats

Rangers have the following Heroic Stat goals:
+38 Heroic Dexterity: Provides increase proc rate via 100/100 Combat Effects and  150/150 Accuracy. (+39 in this build)

+34 Heroic Agility: 35/35 Strikethrough and 100/100 Avoidance. (+35 in this build)

+40 Heroic Strength: Provides +35 Self Damage Shield (35 cap), +4 melee damage to each melee attack (You get +1 per 10 Heroic Strength), and +1 ATK per point. (+20 in this build).

+35 Heroic Stamina: (+32 in this build)

**Heroic Strength and Stamina can be swapped around on a personal preference basis.

Below are ballpark stats you may see with these items equipped. Note that AA, clicky, and Character Skill differences between this profile and your character will show different results, specifically in AC/HP/Mana. Also note that the cap on ” Accuracy/Avoidance/Combat Effects” Heroic Mods in this profile are shown to be higher than they actually are during Gates of Discord. The actual caps are listed in above in this guide.
