As an Enchanter in Classic one of our main roles will be charming mobs for fast kills. We will want to focus on HP/AC to mitigate deaths for when charm breaks. Survivability is also useful while trying to cast Slow on resistant mobs. We’ll also need Mana as a caster. Some Charisma is also useful for less chance of charm breaks, but its impact is reletively low, so we’ll pick it up where it’s convenient only.
For weapons you can either go with a 1-Hand+Shield for some uncapped AC+Extra HP (but we’ll lose 25 Charisma from Tome of Miragul), or a 2-hander for maximum Mana. I prefer the former.
Below are approximate stats you can expect with the gear below. Your results will vary a bit depending on which items you choose, your race, and starting stats.
